Food was mediocre to poor. Just didn’t taste like they used fresh ingredients & pizza was soggy. Meat was tough. Service was quite poor — waited over an hour for pizza & lamb & then seemed annoyed when I asked. Not at all what I hoped for. Won’t go back.

Best Italian I have had in England. The server was incredible, she was very helpful, nice, and not pushy or fake. The menu is large and varied, full of tantalizing choices which made choosing difficult, but also helped to woo us into wanting to come back and try more of their delicious food. Both my meal and my friend’s meal were rich and filling. They have a nice selection of wine. However, being poor university students we opted for the house wine. Despite being a house wine it was lovely, unlike some other places which serve you something slightly better than 2 buck chuck. The atmosphere was perfect. They had lovely old pictures hung tastefully on the walls and the music was mellow and made the meal a bit more pleasant. I would say without wine and desert it isn’t too pricey for a one-off nice meal for a poor uni student(about 10 quid each), but if you want to go all out(and for me when I have Italian food I like to have it all) and have a meal, wine, and dessert it will be about 25 quid per person, but I’d say ever so worth the money. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the lovely food!

I arranged to meet some friends here for a pre-Christmas dinner. We were very impressed with the comprehensive menu and specials board, which catered for our wide-ranging tastes. I had a simple salad to start with, which was fresh and satisfying, followed by the sole which was both delicious and filling — plenty of vegetables. Everyone on our table(5 of us) really enjoyed our meal. I would recommend Italian Taste for a great meal that won’t break the bank.
