Lammas Leisure Centre

I called in today and asked about yoga classes or anything for over 60’s and was given very little help and no information whatsoever, is the Lammas only for young fit people, what about seniors

Lammas leisure centre offers excellent facilities including: Swimming pools, ice rink, gym, group excercise classes, bowls hall, multipurpose courts and squash courts.
The gym is well kitted out, with plenty of variety and you can usually get on the machines you want as they have several of each sort.
The ice rink staff are friendly and helpful, particularly the people that operate the under 5’s sessions.
The swimming pools are clean, although a little chilly at times.
The changing areas are large and offer group and single changing areas. The main problem with the changing rooms is that the showers for swimming are at the side of the pool, meaning you need to go across a corridor to the dry changing rooms to shower properly.
The courts are always set up ahead of bookings and are clean and tidy.
The group excercise classes are popular and motivating.
There is soon to be a café area that serves coffee, tea and snacks.
My main concerns are the customer service side of the business. On several occasions I have repeatedly tried to ring the centre only to get no answer. I have asked a memeber of management about this and was told that at peak times there are 3 members of staff on, but if 3 customers come in then they are unable to answer calls. Fair enough, but surely they aren’t that busy for several continuous hours? Also I have been there when members of staff are chatting and the phone is ringing out.
I give the facilties 5 stars, but the customer service 3 stars.

This is a brand new building! it replaces the old leisure centre 5 minutes away! It is very modern inside and has an olympic size swimming pool! i think it also has a shallow pool for infants. It has a massive fitness suite upstairs and squash courts!
