As soon as we walked into the shop, we were greeted with such a welcome! Alison was amazing… She made me feel very special! She helped me choose my amazing wedding dress, and bridesmaids dresses, it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Highly recommend! Thank you so much for making myself and family an enjoyable one!!! Tina x

I needed an evening dress for my staff Christmas party and after receiving possibly the worst customer service at Debenhams i was miserable. I went in here to be greeted by the Owner Allison who is absolutely lovely, she helped me pick out some dresses. She was attentive and quite frankly reminded me of a fairy godmother, exactly the feeling you want when picking out a special dress. I picked up my dress today and again recieved great customer service. The dress is beautiful and although i paid more than i would have in Debenhams it was well worth it for the experience and for a dress no one else will be wearing. Thanks all at Allison Jayne for making a stressful situation enjoyable. X

I hadn’t read any reviews of this store before I went but the store stocked the designer I wanted. Staff were friendly and supportive throughout the entire experience. At my first visit they were happy to wait while I tried on numerous dresses, helping me find THE dress and were helpful during the payment and alteration process. The staff knowledge and advice was outstanding and enabled me to save money in the long run. When collecting my dress the staff attention to detail was exceptional and even stayed beyond closing to ensure I was happy with the end result. Overall I would fully recommend the store; the price, experience and service was excellent.

I have to say, I was quite sceptical about going to Allison Jayne to try on wedding dresses as I’d read some horror stories online, and with my wedding not being for another two years, I thought I’d be snubbed when I tried to make an appointment. Needless to say, I was proved very wrong! I wanted to visit Allison Jayne as they stock a lot of Ian Stuart dresses, which are incredibly wild, wacky and totally outrageous and I absolutely wanted to try some on, just to see how they look. They also stock Maggie Sottero, another designer who’s dresses I love(I had actually found and fallen in love with a Maggie dress, but more on that later) We arrived(me, mum, gran and best friend) for my appointment early and were greeted by Gemma, who it turns out I may very well have gone to primary school with, who showed us to the magical basement full of lovely wedding dresses. Of course, I went straight for the Ian Stuarts. I knew already that my Maggie dress wasn’t there, so I set about trying to find something equally spectacular. In total, I must’ve tried on about 10 dresses and we were there for a good hour and a half! Gemma was absolutely brilliant and didn’t mind that my gran likened most of the dresses to a toilet roll holder. Sadly though, nothing matched up to my Maggie and I knew in my head that I was unlikely to get it to Swansea to try on before I headed back up to Leeds. Turns out, I was very wrong. Gemma had one of her colleagues call the designer and asked if it could be shipped to the store for Saturday — 3 days away. Initially, they said no and the earliest it could be there would be January 12th — no use to me, I was going back to Leeds on the 8th! However, Gemma persuaded them to send it down for Saturday and an appointment was duly made to go back and try it on. Saturday came and once again, we arrived in the store to a lot of big grins and comments about how incredible the dress was. None of them had actually seen it in person, so I was delighted that from me seeing it at a trunk show in Leeds, trying it on and falling in love with it then, that I could show it off for the very first time to not only my gran and best friend, but to the store staff too! Gemma helped me in to it, laced me up and then it was time for the reveal. My gran was speechless, which I took to be a good thing and we had no toilet roll holder comments this time! The manageress came down to look, as she too had never seen it, and amazed by the dress and couldn’t stop commenting on how amazing it looked on me. We tried on veils(I tried both my mum and her mum’s veils on, as a potential something old/borrowed, but sadly neither of them suited the dress) and I’ll be going for a lovely short veil with diamantés all around the edge. It will be teemed with my great-gran’s crystal necklace, a headband made from one of her brooches and a bracelet my mum is hoping to have made. All together, it looked utterly amazing and I truly felt like a princess bride. The girls at Allison Jayne were nothing short of helpful, got me measured up and talked us through the payment options(safe to say, I am forever indebted to my mum and dad!) and have placed the order for the dress. It’s due in towards the end of September and I cannot WAIT to go and see it again, my very own dress, not the sample, and get it altered to fit perfectly. The other brilliant thing is that the shop the was here before Allison Jayne was where my mum bought her wedding dress back in 1984! All in all, a great experience and I’m delighted to have found and ordered my dress. That’s one weight off my shoulders at least.
