Rating des Ortes: 4 Crystal Palace, London, United Kingdom
This bar is right by the Waterfront and this provides for a good view of an evening when the sun is going down, if it is a nice evening the only place to sit is outside. The inside area is quite tight and the times i visited the bar it was very full. I think due to its hours of business some people use it to begin their night and head off over the bridge to the strip where bars will open into the small hours of the night. The bar staff were all very helpful and when I asked for a particular cocktail they admitted to not know how it was made but were more than happy to be talked through it and make it. For a first attempt it wasn’t bad either! They did have a bit of a problem with glasses the first night I went there as most drinks seemed to be served in, what i deemed to be, the wrong glasses. When I asked on staff member if I could have my drink in a tumbler they were not sure what that was but hey we all live and learn. Every night they have a different live act, I saw a solo act which was very good and a duo which was ok, which played until at least 11/11:30pm. As the bar area is quite small it becomes very loud so you do have to shout to be heard not only when ordering your drinks but if you do want to talk to anybody. They serve Tapas until 11pm which due to the number of people in there I never got to sample but having seen what some people were eating it looked good. Overall I would most definitely go back to this bar as it has a good atmosphere and a really good location. Prices were inline with every other bar in the Waterfront Area. A good bar with friendly staff, good venue, good view and some decent live entertainment.
