good food, live music, staff realy helpfull and friendly, busiest pub in ponty. stayed overnight in the b&b had a great time will go back.

Very bright or gay coloured pub situated in the middle of Herbert Street. The pub derives its name from all the hanging baskets outside accentuated by the pink frontage of the building. Inside you have a very traditional drinking mans pub complete with ceramic pottery drink tankards hanging up, bar room mirrors and left over Xmas decorations from a few months ago ! The place does boast Sky Sports & has a separate longe and bar area. Drinks can be expensive i.e. a pint of Guinness costs £3.75. No meals are served but bar snacks are available. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Clintele are very sociable too, as underlined by the pub being very busy despite being a small pub in size. Proximity to main shopping centre & nearby to the Arts Centre make it worth a call in.
