The problem with bouncing between two towns is, inevitably you have forgotten something… or you just don’t want to have two of everything. This is particularly important when it comes to feeding my coffee addiction. I don’t pack up the coffee maker, so here in Swindon I either go without, or need to go somewhere to get my fix. I remembered that there is a Costa Coffee in the West Swindon Centre, so I thought if I do my shopping early at ASDA, I could get a cup of coffee. The Costa always seems to be quite busy… morning, afternoon, early evening. Because it is usually so busy, it can be difficult to move around without bumping into someone. The counter where you order is a bit tight and when you are ready to leave with your order, it can be difficult to get out. The staff are quite nice and unlike other Costa locations, they do not assume anything about my order. The last few times I have ordered my Americano they have asked whether I would like milk or not, which is nice since I’m lactose intolerant. Can’t tell you the number of times I have had to send my Americano back because someone has just added milk to it. Yes, I have started ordering it with the word ‘black’ inserted, however, sometimes this still causes confusion. I also like that Costa is not charging for soy milk anymore! Thank you for not punishing those of us that genuinely would like to drink milk, but cannot. Overall, a convenient location, but nothing special.
