Set in the heart of Thetford Forest Go Ape is a fantastic experience — I’ve been twice now, one with a group of mixed ages and abilities and once as a couple. In the holidays I would definately encourage you to book as they can only accept a set amount of people per hour. The guides were enthusiastic and clear, ensuring you were competent before setting you off on your own. There are a few alternative routes for those less able, though my 11 year olds were determined to do the harder course and managed it. On the Thetford Forest site there is also a good café and shop, bike hire, toilet facilities and a shop. Plenty of activities for the kids too. Although its pricey — £20-£25 its an experience worth saving up for

Go Ape is a fantastic High Ropes course in the forest. The thetford location is pretty good. It takes a while to go round. Not for those scared of heights, there are plenty of Zip wires. the longest one is 133m long and the highest point in the course is 36ft high. Prices are fairly high –25 for an adult and 20 for 10−17yr olds, but worth it as a special treat. There are other locations throughout the UK but Thetford was the first one created. Set in Thetford forest it is a great day out, with lots of walks and you can walk around underneath the ropes course if you are not participating so can get up close to take photos etc.
