While I have never had a meal at Manhattan I have frequented it on nights out for drinks and dancing. The nightlife in Altrincham is nothing like it is in Manchester center, but a few cute bars and pubs can make it an eventful night out! This is probably my friend’s favorite place to go second, mostly for dancing! The dancefloor is small but the music is usually pretty good, for a gay man like me who loves Brit Pop, lil Girls Aloud, lil Kylie, and that sort! FABULOUS! Couple of cute men standing around like they own the place… maybe they do! Manhattan seems to also draw some characters. I’ve had some wicked conversations with all sorts outside the pub whilst my mates have a smoke! It would defo get that last star if I could meet a good bloke there! One harsh thing, and this goes for a lot of bars and pubs I’ve been to in the UK! Pics of the NYC skyline and yellow cabs doesn’t make it American! Hiring an American like me to host Saturday night bashes would be as Yank as possible!

Manhattan Bar and Grill is an odd place. The appearance from both the outside and the upmarket décor within suggests it could be a spendy restaurant and bar yet its menu looks like something stolen from an Italian café and the prices are low. This is no bad thing for a lot of locals as it gives them a chance to dine and drink for under £20 before Manhattan turns into a late night hotspot, but it makes it a little bit of a meat market on the weekends. That being said, if you are looking for a good meal and drink during the week, you could do worse than choose their £12.95 offer: 3 Courses and a Bottle of House Wine or perhaps their £4.95 Pizza and Peroni. Bella!
