Been a few times now, lovely food but takes longer than it should to come even when it isn’t busy. However will be going their again.

A group of 7 of us booked a table here last weekend. To say that service was relaxed would be an understatement. We waited 45 minutes for starters and then someone thought to complain, at which point they produced starters and mains simultaneously. Except that with the more complicated mains they delivered either the protein or the sides and people waited five or more minutes for the rt of their meal to arrive. We were not impressed. The pasta for my vegetarian pasta main was overcooked. To top things off when we got the bill it was on a till roll which was quite illegible(too faint to read)! I would not recommend this establishment.

very nice, shame you can’t book a table for a big group, makes us not bother going as often as we might.

We all love this place but tend to save it for a more special occasion as it is quite pricey. My father in law likes it most and prnounces it a little more superior to Pizza Express and with btter wine. The pizzas are fab and my kids agree that the Margerita is the best they have ever tasted. The location is delightful with lots of small shops around. Parking is as always in Truro difficult and increasingly expensive but its worth the effort. Try to get a table near the front of the restaurant in the window as we find those tables along the side are quite cramped. Best to book at the weekends even on saturday and sunday lunchtimes. Enjoy the best Italian food in Cornwall!

Whilst Truro has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, sadly Pierros hasn’t kept up with the times. Truro has loads of amazing restaurants and bars to choose from now, so why anyone would want to go here is beyond me. The staff are downright rude, the food is average and the whole place is dated and grubby. The last time we went here around 6 momths ago it was under a promotion which was mentioned at the time of booking but they point blank refused to honour it. I will never go here again! Shame as it used to be one of the good places to go in Truro.

I can honestly say this is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever ate at. The atmosphere inside is always quite lively but intimate. The pizzas themselves served at Piero’s are thin and wide, and obviously traditional. As soon as you enter the restaurant to your left is the kitchen and you can see in the front, the chefs making the bases for the pizzas served here. I love this restaurant and that is why I come back again and again.

This place is an absolutely excellent Italian restaurant. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the service can sometimes be a little surly and well Italian. All the senior staff and chefs are Italian although they do employ one or two locals as waiters from time to time. They’ve also suffered from the odd incident of pretty-female-induced amnesia — giving some girls a table before us when we’d been waiting must be that Latin blood. To be fair though, the service is usually quite good. Anyway, those are the few slight niggles. On to the good stuff This place does the best calzone in the world, in my humble experience. I’ve eaten many a calzone in Italy, Sicily, Chicago, California but nowhere has ever come up to the standard of the ham, spinach and mushroom one at Piero’s. It might seem strange that the best calzone in the world is in Cornwall, but then again, they do look an awful lot like pasties Food: 5 Service: 4 Value: 5
