The place to go in Cornwall to see the theatre, we’ve been many times to see Shakespeare plays/comedians and live bands. There’s a bar at the back and a café at the front that’s always open for a quick bite or a pre play meal. Inside there is lots of seating and the staff/ushers have all been very friendly every time we’ve been. They seem to be showing more dance productions these days but i’d still recommend going for an evening of culture.

Fab, great place to go watch all manner of things, and one of the very evry few places in Cornwall where you can watch ballet! Great range of things you can choose to watch, and they have a great little café section for intervals or just to pop into at lunch time. Highly recommended!

The Hall for Cornwall is a medium sized theatre in Truro which has regular performances. The theatre is relatively new and the seating is comfortable. Over the last few years there have been increasingly big name appearances at the hall for Cornwall including Ken Dodd, Derren Brown and Jethro. There is a Pantomime every year which is generally the best in Cornwall. In the daytime the theatre is sometimes used for a flea market if there is no show on in the daytime. This theatre delvers a great service to the people of Cornwall and it has little competition of a similar size in the local area.

When this hall first opened in Truro it didn’t attract many good acts and it took a while to get going but lately it has been a really good place to go locally and see some top-notch acts such as Derren Brown(awesome), Keane and Goldie Lookin Chain(!). They do loads of great pantomimes during the season and offer a real variety of performances from dance, music, theatre and aforementioned pantomime. Well located with lots of great bars and restaurants nearby plus its own bar.
