When a good friend of the Guerrilla team dragged us to St. Margaret’s one day to visit a restaurant we thought [this had better be good] as it’s not often ones such as us born North of the river Thames venture so far south! Wow. What a treat. A beautiful French bistro with fantastic service and gluten free food! That’s right flour was not laddled into every dish — such a joy. Our friend had rung ahead to ensure they could cater for Coeliacs so when we visited mid-week for a late lunch we were able to relax and soak up the atmosphere and dine like Kings and Queens. The owner Lawrence was superb at catering for Coeliacs and we didn’t feel like fussy eaters one bit. A few tweaks here and there to the menu and we were set. The food and wine were divine! In fact we must’ve have taken at least 2 hours over our late lunch and it was a joy to eat somewhere where you’re not hassled to be in and out in an hour. Fantastic service and gf food at reasonable prices. Plus the toilets were emaculate and have quirky wallpaper and fantastic handwash so you’ll feel like you’re on holiday in a posh hotel! Great for a romantic dinner or lunchtime natter with a good friend. Certainly worth crossing London to get to. Just make sure you introduce someone who really deserves to be treated to it ;) You’ll feel like you’ve transported to Paris. Support an independent restaurant that makes catering for Coeliacs a synch. Go go go!
