Charming little restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. I highly recommend the Filetto Di Manza if you like steak.

This Italian restaurant was one of the few places open on a Monday evening in the Twickenham/St. Maragarets area. It had a very cozy interior and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quite bustling for a Monday evening but it was easy enough to get seated right away. I had the asparagus risotto which was nice, but nothing too memorable. If I was in the Twickenham area again I would go back, but would order something different.

This Italian restaurant is the cosiest looking of all the places and a variety of other italian restaurants on cute Churh street in Twickenham. Initially we planned to go to another Italian place nearby, but decided to change our mind when we saw that Osteria was obviously loved by the locals as most of the front tables were busy on a Monday evening. The interior is pretty, with wood décor and heads of different Roman Gods hanging on the walls. The service was very nice. We were celebrating our colleagues birthday, so upon arrived asked to make a surprise dessert for her with birthday wishes and her name written with chocolate on the platter of delicious tiramisu. The waiters sang passionately the happy birthday song and all the guests clapped their hands in unison. Food itself was very good. We had a ham platter with Sardinian cheese and ghurkins to share for starter and risotto for mains. I went for a seafood risotto and it tasted delicious, would recommend to try if you are a seafood lover. Osteria is good for small groups, for the best seating always better to book in advance.

Absolutely amazing I felt like I was in Italy. The atmosphere and the food. Get the buffalo mozzarella appetizer and the seafood risotto, top notch

This is a lovely little Italian place on a gorgeous cobbled street in Twickenham. The décor is beautiful, very rustic, old school Italian. We were tucked away in a nice little corner and presented an extensive wine menu, specials and food menu. The staff were nice, giving us enough attention and space appropriately. We started our evening with an aperol spritz each — when in Rome and all that! We struggled to pick our staters as there are so many good choices. There’s also a great sharing anti pasti platter too. We selected goats cheese tartlet and stuffed sardines. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with the starters. The goats cheese tartlet turned out to be a breaded deep fried goats cheese slice on top of layer of soggy uncooked puff pasty with cooked shallot underneath. The special happened to be deep fried goats cheese, so we felt like out option was actually just that rather than an actual tartlet. The sardines were okay, but not what I’d imagined. My main was delicious. A large portion of lamb shoulder, beautiful cooked, it fell off the bone. Accompanied by a lovely Aubergine dish with olives and pine nuts. The red wine jus was overly strong though. My dates main wasn’t quite as good. He had roasted pork belly and gratin potatoes. It was was a large portion of meat but a bit dry and a lot of fat. Also we both felt that the waiter should have asked if he wanted any vegetables on the side. It seemed strange for a meat and potato dish not to automatically come with any vegetables. We selected a lovely bottle of Sicilian red wine, which was delicious and decently priced too. We weren’t offered any water though, which was a shame as it’s nice when it’s assumed you’d like some water with your meal as well as wine. £80 in total for two cocktails, starters, mains and a lovely bottle of wine. All in all a nice meal and evening, but simple things could make the experience a lot better.

They say the third time’s the charm right? It really it though! This is the third restaurant I have tried around my work in Twickenham after a horrific experience at Phở Twickenham and a mediocre experience at Pincho’s. A colleague and I went for lunch here and it was just the perfect lovely day — the sun was out, it wasn’t too hot and we got window seats. I had the Penne Romana(regular size for £7.50) and it was a generous, delicious portion. The pasta was al dente(just the way I like it), the sauce was OH so rich with a touch of cream(as promised), the chicken bits(and sausage bits?) were juicy and the cheese toppers tasted smoky and fragrant — it truly completed the dish. So amazing. My colleague had two lunch starters — the Portobello Mushroom w/spinach and gorgonzola(£3) and the fried calzone with mozzarella, spinach and ricotta(£3.25). Both were good, however the calzone was a bit bland. The breading for the calzone reminded me of a Chinese doughnut — slightly chewy and smelled buttery(yum). Service was quick and very pleasant. This place was about a block from my work so that’s quite dangerous. I’m gonna tell you right now, this restaurant will get me fat.

Staff are great, food is delicious and there’s a good selection of wine. Try the sausage with roast potatoes, followed by a beautiful pannacotta with exactly the right texture. Mmmm…

Came here for a teamdinner, and we definitely had a wonderful time. The staff was very accommodating of our large group and took care of us well. The appetizers are pretty small but great for sharing. What stuck out for me, the vegetarian at the table, was the verdue appetizer, a small stack of lightly grilled vegetables. For my entrée, I had the broccoli, portobella gnocchi which was delicately creamy and deliciously satisfying. I definitely recommend this. I had the tirramisu, which was a nice way to end dinner but it didn’t blow me away. Overall, Osteria Pulcinella is a nice place in Twickenham on a nice side alley with other restaurants and pubs away from the busy street.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and was really looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Despite it being not that full the four of us were squashed into a small table almost on top of the table next to us. The food was average at best when we finally got it! My partner had to wait 15 minutes later than the rest of us for her starter and when it came it was the wrong one. Plus it was cold. Our mains were mixed pasta dish overcooked and cold but the fish stew was not bad. Service was absolutely appalling. The waitress spent more time outside smoking that attending her tables. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is nicely placed and I guess it relies on that more than supplying quality food and service. Our friends are Italian and they were not impressed either.

Lovely location down a cobbled street — food is always consistent but the best is that the service is always absolutely brilliant. It’s not a family restaurant but you feel that it is — very attentive and friendly but also relaxed and fun. Never had a bad experience and good for couples or for a group. Highly recommended

I had the most amazing seafood linguini here — it’s great. I like the atmosphere and in the summer when the windows open out onto Church Street in the evening, it’s just lovely. That said — candle lit, bustling and cosy with good food and a nice bottle of red… it’s definately one of my favourite restaurants in the area!

Lovely food, friendly staff and excellent location. We go regularly(usually every week or two) and the food is consistently very good. We enjoy the dinners there, but lunch or breakfast on the weekend is exceptional, particularly over the summer(when it’s not raining). Breakfasts are pretty good value and highly recommended. If you want pizza, come during lunch time as they do not serve pizza on the dinner menu.

A cut above the average Italian restaurant, this is the place to come for a special meal or event. The food is consistently delicious, there’s plenty of variety, and the wine list is good. Vegetarian choices are always available. In summer, they use the cobbled street setting to full advantage by placing tables outside. It’s not a low cost option, but is definitely value for money. The average 3-course meal for two, with wine, will come out at somewhere around £80+. Reservations are usually required at the weekend. If I had to be picky, the only downside is that many of the tables are rather close together, which means no privacy and lots of bumping chairs, but it’s a small gripe, which never puts us off dining there whenever we can afford it.

This restaurant is placed in a wonderful location just a stones throw from twickenham high street. Warm, friendly atmosphere brought about by the welcoming staff. Beautifully decorated with large windows at the front of the restaurant. The menu is of a specific and sophistocated taste and consists of items such as risotto, monk fish, and lobster. everything has immense fusion of flavours! As a person with an extreme sweet tooth i have to brag about their amazing desert menu! the chocolate cake, the fruit salad, the pear… all of it is amazing… definatly a hard decision!
