This is a treasure trove of plants. It is not part of the National Trust and is free entry. There is an amazing range of perennials, shrubs, alpines, trees etc all set out higgeldy poke in what was the victorian kitchen garden of Sheffield Park House. Plants are everywhere, ones you have never seen before, little treasures hidden away. This is not a Garden Center, it is a gardener’s dream. The owner is a wonderful, eccentric with REAL information about the plants. There is a three acre vineyard where they produce an English sparkling, white wine called ‘Sifelle’. amazing taste and a must for every wine lover. Well worth the trip. It is easy to find, turn up the main drive towards Sheffield Park Gardens then take the rough track on the left, the nursery is just up on the left. There is no car park but a semi lay-by. There are signs but you have to look for them. Have fun !!
