Yes I love it. It’s a traditional English pub with the fayre to match. I won my stay here through the Mini Codeword competition in theEvening Standard although we had to buy our evening meal and breakfast. Our room was not ready upon our arrival so the manageress gave us a free pot of tea and a nicer, larger room. Nice gardens to have a cigarette and on a lovely summer’s day we wandered to the Royal park at the back to gaze at the fountain and the ruins. Pulled Pork and Beefburger excellent. Loved it and so different to where I live. It’s an experience gazing at the millionaire’s houses on the walk from the station which is just about doable.

Average food for an average price. Location is great (next to Virginia Waters) and the pub/​restaurant is nice too. Not the worst spot for a Sunday lunch before a long walk.
