Service was pretty good, the staff friendly. One important thing to note is that the parking outside(pay and display) is 24⁄7 so pay before you dine or you will get a ticket(car next to us did!) As far as the food — I made the mistake of ordering the chicken tikka masala which was totally flavorless and bland. My wife had the lamb tikka which was quite flavorful — overall maybe 3 stars — not up to the standards you should expect at an Indian restaurant in England.

My wife was deeply offended here by the staff ignoring her and only talking to me. As for the food, pretty average and on the pricey side

The Raj is a modern contemporary indian restaurant. Even though it is on the fringe of Wadebridge town centre, it is an extremely popular place, so its probably best to book. It is a modern restaurant, multi-levelled and full of light. The Raj has a variety of different types of seating and easily capable of coping with quite large groups. As with most indian restaurants, the menu has a vast array of different dishes, including all of the popular dishes like bhunas, kormas, vindaloos etc. We plumped for a safe chicken tikka korma and the Raj house special, a mixture of lamb, chicken and tiger prawns in a delightfully tasty sauce. A great combination of dishes as it happened, a fantastic meal! The waiters were efficient and friendly, but a little too keen when clearing the table, probably for the next sitting. This minor negative cannot outweigh a brilliant meal though, in very relaxing surroundings. The Raj also has a takeaway service, with the dishes at a reduced rate. You can even sit in very comfortable sofas and have a coffee while you wait.
