This is where I do my Friday big shop. I know that that’s a pretty way to start a review, but hear me out… There are so many places to get what you need for a week, from posh to not so posh. But still i go to Morrison’s. That annoying advert on TV tells us that ASDA is cheaper. But still I go to Morrison’s. The place looks like it was built in the 70’s. But still I go to Morrison’s. To be honest, everyone uses the same supermarket that their parents use. I was brought up in a Morrison’s family, and a Morrison’s man i shall remain! The only reason that it doesn’t have 5 stars is as mentioned above, it looks like it was erected in the 1970’s and really could do with the bit of a spruce up. The deli counter is excellent and I’m now even on first name terms with some of the staff there. What more could you want… oh yeah, I already went through that didnt I?

I use this store on a daily basis due to it being just round the corner from where i live. The store itself seem a little outdated but still pleasant. Even though being a smaller store than its rivals in wakefield it still has everything you need. I do like the way that they have little counter spread throughout the store for fresh fish, meat, bakery, cooked products, deli and the staff on these counters do know what they are talking about. All in all a great store

I like this branch of Morrisons in Wakefield. It is a little out of the town centre and is bigger and less crowded than the town centre branch. The range of foods on offer is good — my own favourites are the fabulous date and walnut/cheese and walnut breads and the wonderful lemon smoked mackerel on the fish counter. Very very good, but then every supermarket has its specialities. What I also go to Morrisons for are the low prices, and although not across the board, I would say on average it is the most economical supermarket if you are willing to fill half your trolley with items from their value range.(As most people are, of late!) Also they have a good stock of cardboard boxes readily available, often very handy to have around and helpful for transporting your groceries!
