Food here is great service is sometimes a little slow and that lets it down, but when it is busy the owner is often seen helping out the waiters to keep people from waiting, drinks prices aren’t the cheapest but food is worth it!

We arrived on time car park full. Told my partner no problem I’ve booked a table. We walked in the place was packed. Sofas where full and a queue of 5 couples standing. A man greated the couple in front of us walked off and never returned. My partner walked to the bar area and explained we had a reservation. He was promptly told, we’ve over booked. We waited a further 10 mins nobody left the restaurant. I was disgruntled. Why didn’t they just tell me when I called that we aren’t taking reservations! We left, and so did another couple at the same time. We arrived 10 minutes later at King Balti. Where we was immediately greated. A table was cleared and we was seated. the restaurant was busy but the service was exceptional, and the food was perfect. What started as a huge disappointment due to cinnamon courinadequacies, ended up being a great night saved by the dependable King Balti.

I’ve submitted a change of name as it should be Cinnamon Court. I’m not goint to describe the inside as this has been done well by another reviewer. I almost scored it a 3, but would prefer to score it 3.5, but went for the generous. The online menus don’t tie up with the ones at the restaurant. Although not on the menu, I asked for a Mixed Kebab with some fried onions, which they charged me £3.75, which was very reasonable. Most of the meat was fine, not as spicy as I would like, but it is all down to taste. The fried onions arrived separately, and I think they forgot… Slight browning, to give a hint they had been fried, but they were still undercooked, and I felt that they had been placed in a microwave. Some ot the meat was burnt. The plate I ate my main off was warm, but the food was served in cold dishes. I had a dabal murgh… I think… about £7.65… I checked for it on the on-line menu, but couldn’t find it. It was very tasty. We ordered three dishes, and mine was judge to be the best… The others had lamb dishes. I tried them and I thought they were good too. Staff were very friendly. I was with someone who has been there many times before, so the owner stopped and chatted. He must be doing very well, as he has a Bentley Convertible outside. I’d still go back but I think I’d be a bit more assertive about the food and the plates. As I say, in comparison to other places… I reckon it is a 3.5. Certainly seemed to attract regulars, by the way they were greeted. Plenty of parking spaces.

Should this be Cinnamon Court? Anyway we found this restaurant by accident last saturday night. We arrived around 6.45pm and it slowly filled up during the evening with a broad mix of clientelle. First impressions are that of a smart restaurant although I suggest you don’t look too closely at the timber flooring. It’s very large restaurant, open plan with high ceilings and I agree with others that the it has a cold atmosphere. I particularly liked a small private room they had laid out. I suggest it is ideal for eating out during the warm summer months. The popadoms came with onion salad and one of the best mint yoghurt sauces I’ve had but nothing else. The sheek kebab starter was disappointing. It was brought out on a cold plate with an apology of a side salad. The kebab meat was good but it was a little too hot for my taste and I normally have Madras. The main criticism was that it lacked depth of flavour. There were no complaints with the onion pakora(onion bhaji with spinach) it was excellent. My CT Achari main course was very good, hot and spicy. The wife’s CT Sagwalla was also very good, tasty but a bit too dry for her preference. The accompanying chunky chips & garlic & coriander nan were better than the norm but unfortunately our fried rice hadn’t been cooked through properly. The waiters are smart & friendly although there seemed to be a little disorganisation during the night. Our service was a bit on the quick side and we would have appreciated a few more minutes between courses conversely I did notice that other tables seemed to be running slow. The bill when it finally arrived was very reasonable, in particular the drinks. Overall a pleasant meal, nearly a 4 star and in my opinion, with a little bit of attention it could easily score a lot higher.

We had this place recommended to us for our short stay in Walsall. While the food is superb and very filling for not bad a price, the atmosphere is very cold with lots of mirrors, gold and space. You feel like the waiters are watching your every mood which can be a little uncomfortable
