I’m rather obsessed with cooked breakfasts and Tony’s is the best I’ve found! The interior is a comfortable and clean standard greasy spoon with reflective vests and rumpled newspapers looking slightly out of place in the otherwise upscale Northcote road area.
Tony’s breakfast special is £6.50 for eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, fried slice and beans. There is a larger option but I’ve never seen anyone come close to finishing it, so the standard set might be a safer bet. There is a presentable vegetarian option featuring bubble and squeak and hash browns.
The staff is lovely and none of them ever seem to forget a face. They’re happy to do substitutions so just ask if you want extra bacon!

Joanna R clearly has fabulous taste as this gem of a café is the best spot on Northcote Road for a superb greasy breakfast.
Northcote Road can more than a little bit posy but Tony’s combination of looking like a 1980s Grange Hill set and a cracking fry up will make sure I will return time after time.
