I can’t believe I’ve lived down the road from here for years and never been in! A friend invited me down for a meal with our partners and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The place was packed for a Saturday night so I suggest you book if you want to go here. There were also people in there ordering takeaways and such so there wasn’t much standing room either when we arrived. Once seated we perused the menu and each chose a starter and a main. I had the onion bhaji to start followed by a lamb Balti with garlic naan. I can’t get over the portion sizes! My bhaji(£2.95) was well worth the price for its size though I do think it could have been crispier but was served with a nice side salad. My main arrived piping hot and the naan was about the size of a steering wheel! We ordered three between us though two would have been enough. The lamb was succulent but I felt there was a lot of sauce and not enough lamb, but I’m picky like that. It tasted wonderful and I took my leftovers home for dinner the next day. The service was okay and we were left with enough time between the courses to let the food go down and I didn’t feel rushed as I have in other places. It’s BYOB which helps keep the bill down as it came to a total of £17.50 per head.

The service was slow, the food average. The Breads were good but HUGE. We ordered one eac(like any«normal» indian restaurant) however, in their size one would have been enough! Our server never warned us either which I think he should have. It was more about wasting food rather than the money as we were visiting and staying at a hotel and had to throw it all away. I would not go back there.

Decent curry house on the outskirts of the centre of Warwick. BYO. Massive portions but willing to let you take remainders as a takeaway. Staff have attitude. One was bored and dismissive. The other a little intimidating! Because of their attitude I probably wouldn’t visit again.

Always busy, so book if you can. You can take your own wine or beer. Service good and quick once your seated. Great veg pakora. Been lots of times and always happy with the food.

This was the second time I had taken a trip to Castle Balti, as I’m always up for giving places a second chase. I’m just going to cut to the chance here. Nothing wrong with the naans. They are priced at £2.50 because they are quite large(enough for 2 people). I also ordered the Butter Chicken dish from the menu thats priced around £9. When the food arrived it seemed it was exactly as my first experience. The Chicken pieces were bits of the cheapest meat you can think of! It’s like the chef just put small cuts of thigh meat and fatty bits into the sauce. For £9 for just the dish I would at least expect a minimum of 4 — 5 Breast pieces. This place is a joke. Most people tend to like it because they allow customers to bring their own drinks. It’s no wonder they use rubbish bits of meat in the food, half the customers are drunk! Don’t take my word for it, if you visit this place, you will see for yourself.

Went with a large party, so understandable, perhaps, that service was slow. Busy on a Tuesday, so it’s popular. I found it a little fancier than what I’m used to, and fancier prices to match. Some original dishes, including fishy ones, but the veg thali was too rich, rather greasy. I think the huge naans are a gimmick; nobody would eat a whole one, surely?

Quite a good Indian restaurant albeit with pretty much what every other one in the country has on its menu plus a few oddities. Some dishes have far to much Ghee/butter as is usual! I would probably put the Castle Balti down as a place to get a lot of reasonable food at reasonable prices without being either great in décor, menu or food itself. Family friendly and busy so probably need to book on Fri and sat.

Excellent Indian restaurant. The menu is huge, offering you any combination of meats and curries, but also a large range of dishes that you might not find elsewhere. The naan breads are a phenomenon — ‘the size of duvets’ was mentioned last time I went. Very tasty food but I never stand a chance of finishing it. Happily they are very willing to wrap it for you to take home, and it’s just as tasty next day. Great atmosphere, always busy. Cosy. Friendly staff.

Very good indeed, says a lot that this place is busy all through the week — give Chutneys in Stratford a run for its money on the best curry in the area award! Not the cheapest, but then again we all know how that works eh?
