The Sheppey Inn is a creative and contemporary pub that you wouldn’t expect to find in a small village. My husband and I were able to try this place out as we were staying nearby. We were so glad to end our long drive here where we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff and a great variety of drinks. Food was also amazing — we had the friend chicken burger and beef brisket burger. The chicken lacked down flavour but it was decent. The beef brisket was cooked to perfection and packed with much filling, I was struggling to finish my triple-cooked chips. We highly recommend this pub and would definitely come back when we’re back in the area!

Had an average meal here with friends during a recent business trip. A very unique location and a cool looking deck overlooking a small waterway running behind the shop. I ordered the fish-n-chips and my friends each had a fish stew and the fried chicken sandwich. My fish-n-chips did not have a lot of flavor and the batter was on the mushy side(possibly the oil was not hot enough?). The accompanying tartar sauce was less than stellar also. Both my dining partners that evening loved the fish stew… full of various kinds of fish and assorted seafood. It did look(and smell) good, but I did not taste it. Their sandwiches also looked nice, a bit on the spicy side I was told. Unfortunately, I can only speak for the taste and quality of my own meal… will have to try something else next time, should I get the chance.

This is a converted barn right on the River Sheppey, Very nice ambience. Food selection and quality is very good, The beef is local and cooked to your liking, Service is ok, the staff was able to accommodate a last minute birthday cake and song.

Went there for dinner in the middle of the week. Absolutely gorgeous place! It is very tricky to get to, out in the middle of nowhere down lots of country lanes but I must say it is well worth it! The pub itself is full of character and the staff are so lovely! The bar man made me my own cocktails catered to what I liked! The food was absolutely fantastic! It is a little bit on the pricey side but well worth it! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend it! They also have live music on every weekend which is great also!

Went here with a group for a team dinner. The place itself is down country lanes in a small village surrounded by fields. The location is amazing, and the décor inside is relaxed and original. The menu tries to be creative and worldly, but the food is distinctly average, at least by London standards. The triple cooked chips — very soggy and tasteless. The presentation was good, but taste quite average. Maybe it was because it was a group meal and they struggled to get the same standard with so many dishes to get out. Service was also very slow — despite having empty glasses for a long time on the table, they didn’t clear or even ask if we wanted another drink. Hard to flag down the two staff on duty, who were trying to serve our big group and also like ten other tables.

Great pub, out in the middle of nowhere. A vast range of drinks in a beautiful, if remote setting. They have a DJ on Friday nights, but the music is brilliant any time you go there. I bet you haven’t 90% of it before. I didn’t try the food, but on weekends they do Tapas. It’s also important to check the opening hours before you go, they’re unusual. Don’t be put off by the exterior, they’re still doing it up.
