Although I don’t live in uk anymore and currently reside in the US, as a child from 89 to 08, I can’t remember a better staple of Indian food then this place!

I only tried the buffet there, twice, once during dinner and once during lunch time. Seems to the the exact same food, only 2 pound cheaper during lunch hours. Buffet includes lots of different dishes, paneer, dosa, sweet stuff, lentils etc etc. and is all very tasty. The price is a bit above average, but the tasty foods and nice and clean interiors makes up for it. Best Indian restaurant I’ve found in London, so far.

What can I say? This restaurant has anchored the Indian food scene in town forever! It’s an institution that people must try. I went there less often as newer and more options sprang up, but after my last visit a few weeks back i was blown away! A new updated décor makes this place hip and relevent, while the consistent great food with home grown hospitality never disappoints. Ask anyone who really knows, Indian in wembly could only mean SAKONI!

This is an all you can eat buffet place, which does, breakfast/lunch and dinner. It is all vegetarian, yet delicious. I took my non-indian Boyf and he loved it. It even does a take away service of pakoras, and samosa. The extra good thing, is that it is so very cheap.

i hadn’t eaten any indian food since arriving in london at the end of june, because i knew i would OD on it once my husband came to visit. since we were going to the NFL game on sunday night, i thought it would be a perfect day to check out the indian restaurants along ealing. my cowkr told me that the locals all like sakonis, so we came here. she was totally right… the place was packed! we went for the 8.99 veg buffet, which was pretty good. there was a lot of chaat as well as hot food, including indo-chinese food. i don’t love buffets, but this was so easy, and you get good variety.

Was reminded of this by Lizzie’s review of the one in Harrow. Masala Dosai,(I think that’s how it is spelt) is just amazing!

Overpriced vegetarian food. It used to be good but now is too busy for its own good and cannot produce the quality. Its busy though, so people must still like it?

Out of all the Sakonis around this is far by the most popular branch in my opinion. Food may be a tad overpriced, service may not be all that but the food is brilliant. Tasty, spicy and good to look at. The buffets on offer will fill you up for the whole day, there is a lot on offer and you get to have the best of all varieties ranging from currys, rice, sweets, savouries, chinese, etc etc.

One of the only benefits of working near Wembley Central was the opportunity to get to Sakonis which is Number 34 on Timeout’s Top 50 for 2008. This institution is known for bringing in the crowds on weekends and to be honest it was fairly crowded for a Thursday late lunch too. The restaurant isn’t much to look at — almost clinical looking with its white tiles and interior but the food on offer was fabulous. It offers a great selection of very tasty Gujarati vegetarian food and strangely enough even some Chinese dishes(mainly noodles.) The fact that it was a buffet meant we could also sample to our delight(and peril I know I certainly overate!) Half the time I wasn’t actually sure what I was eating but I was definitely a fan of the masala dosa and the simple bhel mix. The food was actually so tasty you almost forgot you weren’t eating any meat! Sakonis isn’t a flashy place but for decent vegetarian Indian food at a decent price I would definitely recommend. The service ain’t all that bad either — efficient and relatively friendly.

a so-so place sometimes the food is delicious, and sometimes the food is stale and very disappointing i advice you do not have the buffet as it is pretty stale, order fresh! i advice the stir fry aubergines, my favourite!

a vegetarian friend of mine took me here(i say took, i mean dragged me reluctantly) im not a massive fan of veggie restaurants, but i was quite pleasantly surprised. the food is really good, quite simple, understated but delicious. unfortunately, i thought the service was appalling. if you want to go for a quick lunch there is no chance you will get out of there in less than an hour. they just seem to completely ignore you, totally worth it for the food though if bad service is not something that bothers you.

Sakonis has a dull atmosphere, serves overpriced food and offers a poor service. Yet it serves brilliant food. I would especially recommend the chilli paneer. Avoid the buffet on a quiet night as the food will be cold, and meat eaters beware this it has a purely vegetarian menu. I would visit this place if you want delicious food and don’t mind the dreadful atmosphere and service and can afford the over priced food. There is also a 10% service and seating charge and i do not recommed the take away option.

This lovely vegetarian restaurant has mouth watering indian dishes usually run on a buffet basis. the buffet always in extensive amounts and choice! its yummy! the variety is so wide there are chips, noodles, traditional indian and this is definately the 1st vegetarian restuarant ive been to… and not! missed my chicken! so its thumbs up for that account. It can get really busy at times but its well worth it. The prices are reasonable and as always buffets can be as quick as you like. perfect for those sneaky lunch breaks!
