Not a nice atmosphere, pretty rough no class, very bad service, no customer service.

If the sun comes out and you’re in West Brom, pack your things and run down to The George as there are a number of benches that are situated in a perfect sun trap area! Once you’ve got yourself a spot, head inside to order a drink and check out the food menu. This is a great value pub that offers a perfectly pleasent service. I would say it’s more of an ‘afternoon’ pub than somewhere you would venture to on a night out. It’s family friendly so if you or a friend has kids then this would be a good place to meet up and go for a bite to eat. If you do go on a sunny day, makle sure you save room for ice cream! They give very generous portions so you may want to share.

After winding my way through the front terrace, replete with benches(a kind of beer garden at the front) I strolled through the front doors of the George. A group of old drinkers glanced up from their pints and, presumably having judged me fit to enter(or not worth any fuss) went back to their conversation. A few other elderly couples and young mothers were sat round sorting out ordering food. I got myself half a Banks bitter and went and sat in the corner with a copy of the Black Country Mail. It’s a pretty sizeable pub, very clean and looks ideal for families. There’s also a room where no children are allowed which has a pool table in it, so everyone’s catered for. The bar was cheap, the barman polite and the background music unobtrusive.
