a lovely pub with traditional décor, kept very clean and professional but at the same time friendly, warming and inviting.
staff are very well presented, and friendly too.
a good selection of beers and spirits and the food is nice too, all at reasonable prices.

The Hamlet is a modern bar with efficient staff ready to serve. An open plan space with a large screen and smaller TVs dotted around, making it a popular place when a big match is on. Time your run to the loo as these are space limited. The pub is popular in the early evening for those returning from London as Westcliff station is around the corner. It is also a common first port of call for those heading into Southend clubbing on a Friday or Saturday. A decent breakfast is served for the early birds, also a good lunch menu is available too.
