Rating des Ortes: 3 Weston-super-Mare, United Kingdom
Hobbits, named so due to its orginal interior being decorated to Lord of the Rings for some reason, is a mainly aimed at the Goth and Emo young teens of Weston. It has been going down-hill as a club since 2008, but is attracting very small amounts of custom, but larger when univerisity students return. Which suggests they have no longer retained new customer base. The interior is very dark, with poor lighting. The music is very loud; as expected. The bar is often very very busy, waiting up to 10 minutes for a drink, where prices are moderate for a club. Sometimes the bar offers all you can drink nights for a fixed sum of money.

Hobbits used to be a lovely dingy nightspot that played to the rock/indie crowd. It was dark, black and a bit mouldy and that was part of its charm. Its since moved to a different building while keeping the name. And its now more like a youth club mainly full of emo kids that don’t look like they are old enough to buy a drink. Or is that just me getting older. I wouldn’t go there, but my brother who is a year younger always goes in when he’s back in town. So if you are under 20 and a bit on the emo side then maybe it’ll be your thing.
