Formerly known as l’Auberge at the Queens Head, this pub /restaurant is centrally located in Weybridge, but despite that does have a limited amount of parking available. The venue itself has been nicely refurbished, and the service seems good, but I’m less than convinced about the food, as although this is well presented and prepared, the portion sizes(other than Wednesday Steak Nights) are frankly somewhat sparse.

Have eaten twice at L’Auberge. All I will say is that the pub food sounds a better bet!

Nice bar with a good atmosphere, good for rugby fans as the games are usually shown, but never a rowdy crowd in attendence. The bar décor is warm with comfy seating. The bar menu is pretty comprehensive and good value for money. The portions we had(fish & chips and a steak) were very good. The attached restaurant, L’Auberge is more expensive but very good value for money. The french menu offers a good choice of cuisine and the service and quality of the food has always been excellent.

Very pleasant pub, good range of beers and wine, comfortable seats, along with social standing areas. Staff very friendly. Bar snacks available(not tried yet) . There’s a good atmosphere with a mix of ages and quite a few regulars, tends to get pretty busy on friday and saturdays, with more people in the 20 to 40 age group. Play most Sky rugby games. Close to river if you fancy a walk first. Restaurant attached. L’auberge, I haven’t been eaten there for a couple of years, but they have started a very good value lunch menu. Update on Lunch. After the confusion at The Ship, we came here to try their bargain lunch(Mon to Sat)… £7.95 for 2 courses. Well it turned out very well, good quality cooking in a more pleasant enviroment, with sharp service. I had a salad to start which was tasty, followed by Snapper and Lentils, it said cassoulet. not sure that was correct, again very tasty. My guest had Chicken parmiagana, followed by a very good fig tart. Portions aren’t big, but for a light lunch thoroughly reccommended. December.Went this week, and apparently 4 L’Auberges have split from the bigger company, I think it’s Weybridge, 2 in Teddington, and Clandon. I thinks may get better and was very impressed with their enthusiasm for the future. it was evening, good mousseline starter and, good duck to follow.
