A slimmed down menu to when we previously used to frequent but service was friendly, fast and efficient. The Mon-​Fri carvery at £4.75 is excellent value. veg was piping hot today (not reflective of other comments), meat server provided generous portions. overall a pleasurable experience.

Now this place used to be really nice to go as a couple or as a family with kids, but since it has changed management, it has changed service and food quality, and is not a place I‘d go for a meal now. The carvery is awful, meat dry, veg yuk, and the gravy is sickly. We were going to go again just to see if it had changed, but when we went to order drinks and 3 of the drinks were out of stock, that gave us our answer and we left and went to the Lodmoor and had a fantastic meal. If you just want a drink, and happy to have whatever they have left in stock, its ok

The Spyglass used to be the most popular place in Weymouth but since changing hands has really gone down hill. The food is pre-​cooked package stuff and the stuff they don’t microwave is usually burned. The view of the bay has now been obstructed by building development and the staff all seem to want to be somewhere else.
