Upwey Wishing Well

Great spot with a REAL wishing well! Cream Tea with fresh scones; perfect sandwiches. Out of the way but well worth it! New owners kept it just the same. Take time to stroll through the gardens. Plants I’ve never seen!

gardens of discovery friends invited me to join them on a trip to the wishing well as a birthday surprise for another friend. the first impression of the restaurant was very encouraging. the amosphere said welcome, we’re glad to see you. the service and cream teas were much enjoyed by all. then our hosts suggested we might like to take a stroll in the garden. looking out of the french windows, it didn’t look too interesting but my it just kept on unfolding as you strolled along.
it is quite an experience for sure. it also hosts one of the fastest running springs in the uk. the ambience is so pleasant. one could happily stroll for an hour or so enjoying the surroundings even taking a time to sit and relax.
car parking in the church carpark near by.
well worth a visit.
