Warmwell is a Ski/Snowboarding centre near Weymouth and on Thursdays and Sundays they have Snowboarding sessions where you can try out jumps and stuff or just practice. You can get lessions and I think you can hire stuff as well. There is a little café where you can buy limited amount of hot drinks and alcohol and you can sit outside overlooking the slope.
