The Grand Turk is a three masted sailing Galleon situated in Whitby Harbour.
Having been used during the filming of Hornblower this ship is open to visitors during the day.
I can tell you it is well worth a visit to experience the living quarters and conditions which would have been experienced by our previous colleagues if press gang’s still roamed our ports and Harbours.
Visit the captains’ cabin and gun decks and experience the sort of rations they would have enjoyed. Well worth a visit if with the family or just on your own.
