Gee Tees is a two storey local shop in the Pemberton shopping area. The shop has been there for years and years but it has kept up to date with consumer needs and still manages to be successful. The shop is in the main high street but is not very accessible to disabled people or mums with prams. There is a small step into the store and then it is split into two floors with the second floor being accessible only by means of a quite steep staircase. Downstairs is the day to day stocks of household cleaning materials, toiletries, hair care, perfumes, stationery items, baby needs, gift sets, vitamins, fist aid stocks, and general sundries such as hot water bottles, washing up bowls, washing lines and other everyday household goods. Go up the stairs however and you are transported into a world of fancy goods, ranges of ceramics, pottery, kitchenware and crockery, cooking equipment, artificial flowers, vases, crystal, scented candles and all manner of giftware and decorative items, mirrors, pictures and small items of decorative furniture. Stock upstairs also follows seasonal trends such as garden furniture in summer etc and xms trees and decorations in winter. The staff are friendly and helpful and have a good rapport with local customers who have probably been going there for years. Attached to the downstairs is also a small card and gift shop selling cards for all occasions, gift packaging, and unique and novelty gift items. The only downside to the shop is its lack of accessibility.
