This is not 2 bad of a pub pretty large inside with a big bar can get very busy tho especially when there something going on in wigan.
The staff not 2 bad but can be a bit rude they like serveing the regulars first the beer pretty cheap and the food prices are not 2 bad eathere I have eaten in here a few time and I can say it not 2 bad.
The only down side for this pub is that you have to walk 2 flites of stairs to the toilets not good when you had a few beers especially coming down them lol.

I like this place. There was a very large age span in the customers so it made for some great people watching. We wound up sharing a table with a local couple who were as nice as could be. The beer was cold, the food was delish and the evening was very memorable.

Normally in my opinion a spoons should recurve a minimum 3 stars but not here. It was good Friday, rude and obnoxious staff at the bar. Seemed to have a favouritism streak with people in a Wigan rugby top. Larger was like spoons quite cheap and cold. Good like spoons is adequate and warm. Toilets need a good clean for the gents ! Would be a three star if not had bad service at the bar !

Wetherspoons as you’d expect although there’s a nice area at the back that sets it apart. Had a pint of dizzy blonde, served by a blond, she didn’t seem dizzy to me though. Pint was £2.15, good value if you ask me

Large pub in the town centre very busy not one of my popular haunts but nevertheless not a bad pub no music :(but very cheap and a great pint never had the food large bar with plenty staff serving friendly pub great to start the night!

Needless to say, I checked in here whilst under the influence. I mean, it’s not something I would brag about. Situated on the edge of King Street, the Moon is a standard stopping point for those on a night out in Wigan, but it is standard Wetherspoons fair; large, cheap drinks, and upholstered in dark Tudor inspired fabric. There’s not much to say about any ‘spoons — they’re all decent enough, you know what you’re getting and that’s what you get.

Although a typical Wetherspoons pub, I really enjoyed my experience in there. The bar staff were very friendly, service was very good, the price of a pint of beer was good & the food there was very good. The staff there were very attentive, which I liked.
The pub is in a very good location as it’s right in the heart of the town centre and right close to Wigan North Western & Wigan Wallgate BR Stations!

Nice weathersoon pub. Food hit and miss, but a nice place to start your night for few beers. Mixture of ages, normally a starting point before people head into king street. Older folk tend to stay till the end here

A standard town-​centre Wetherspoons pub with plenty of space & decent /​cheap real ale & food.
As a real ale fan and frequenter of many a Wetherspoon establishment, this one definitely has a lot of good points (friendly service and an extensive real ale selection).
But I have not been in it when it’s been really busy so couldn’t comment on what it’s like when the atmosphere is less relaxed.

They have some good bargains food wise, the staff are always friendly but I also find it very busy with old age pensioners at lunch time. In an evening it is lively and always a good atmosphere.

The moon is in possibly one of the best locations for a pub in Wigan. It is right in the centre though not too close to the major clubs on King St so you can weigh up your options for the night without being given the feeling of already being on a night out. You can have a few and watch people head to Baa Baa down the road or onto maloneys to start their night, while you decide whether your going to join them you can enjoy some cheap drinks so you wont feel behind everyone else once you have made your mind up! Great place, many rainy nights have been spent in here! They also do some awesome food if you dont wanna head out on an empty stomach

this pub could not be better located you have everything you need right there, exellent food, good prices, and very good night life around you!
