I called in Vision Express today to take a look at the glasses I have planned to buy, and show a friend, I felt while I was passing a store I might as well do that. I was greated by a woman when I entered the store, and when I told her about the glasses I had seen, she went and got them for me and gave me a mirror. She was trying to sell, sell, sell rather than help, help, help as even though I mentioned I was just looking and not purchasing, she constantly tried to make me consider other glasses and she began to use the glasses salesman«Oooh, they look lovely on you, Are you sure you won’t buy them today? I can reserve them in for you if you want to come back or send them to another store,», I feel after I told her I won’t be buying, she never really wanted to give up, she did appear to be nice but this was a little dissapointing. I do not feel the staff are as good as their Manchester Arndale branch, although they still appeared nice but she appeared more keen on the sale rather than a casual friendly conversation. This store is quite a nice size with a good selection of glasses for men and woman, including designer geer This store isn’t terrible but I feel it is going to be in the shadow of the Manchester Arndale store. I feel 2 stars is fair for this branch, I would prefer to give 2.5 stars but the staff not appearing as friendly as they could be, and the store being slightly smaller I feel this store doesn’t warrant 3 stars, and 2 is fairer. If I am ever in Wigan again, I probably wouldn’t visit this store as firstly I have just got a new pair of glasses and secondly I do prefer the Manchester Arndale store, which you will be able to tell if you read the review I have wrote for that too. «Meh, I’ve experianced better», the comment on Unilocal for a 2 star rating, really does sum up my experience here today.
