I love this place! The food is good & reasonably price. I have 3 kids & the kids meal is awesome. Plus our waitress was really nice & super sweet to our kids. My favorite restaurant when visiting Winchester!

I’ve been here twice already once for the pasta and once for the pizza, I preferred the pasta. I had the carbonara and it was the lightest and freshest I’ve had anywhere. I’m sure I’ll be back for my third visit soon.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday. Frankly it put me in a bad mood. The service was ok at start, and when the starters came I was enjoying my evening, but the food took ages to come and when it did come it was salty, and I realised that one of the ingredients in the dish (one that I chose the dish for) wasnt even in the dish. We tried to complain about the dish but staff seemed too busy to talk to us, and when we did get hold of somebody in the end we were just given an appology. No offer of another dish, no offer or 5% off the bill, no offer of ‘would you like it recooked’. just a short, insincere sounding sorry. I will not be returning.

This ASK restaurant is situated near the top end of the city town called Winchester. From the outside it looks very dark inside but once you are inside it is rather dark. The service is reasonable as for I did happen to book a day before and the staff on the phone was hardly awake and I had to keep repeating to him, its 6pm i want not 9pm! But anyways, once you are inside and sat down you get served by one of their staff and after they served you, you do feel abit left out really. Usually you get someone come over and ask how is your meal? but this time it was hard enough to call for the bill. The pizza I ordered was four seasons, very different from the Pizza express range but overall I would give a rating of 6 out of 10.

I really enjoy visiting ASK in Winchester, quite often for lunch at the weekend during shopping trips. I recently had lunch there on my own one Saturday. I was seated towards the back of the ground floor on a bench seat running along the wall next to the bar. The restaurant was quite busy and
the staff were obviously very busy so I was lucky to be seated immediately. After I arrived I noticed some people were waiting near the bar for tables so arrive reasonably early! My order was taken quickly and my drink arrived almost instantaneously although I was next to the bar and the barman just leaned over and plonked it down! I ordered a mixed salad which when it arrived was huge, big chunks of avocado and a really tasty dressing. The staff were obviously busy but service was still very good. My bill arrived
quickly when I requested it. The building is lovely and old with open beams and a fire upstairs I believe. The restaurant always has a buzzy comfortable atmosphere and you never feel rushed to vacate your table no matter how busy they are, one of the reasons I keep going back.

Very nice restaurant with a cosy interior feel to it. The layout inside is nice and clean. The staff seems helpful and sometimes friendly. Can get very busy there, but best to book a table for a safer way to know your bound to get a table at night. The pizzas and pastas are delicious. A great place to eat.

One of the many italians in Winchester. This place is really good value and often quite busy. They do a big selection of pasta and pizza as you’d expect. I find the restaurant a little bit dark inside — I don’t know whether this is purposeful — think they just need to turn the lights up! Really cool if you can sit outside in the summer, have some nice food, a few drinks and watch the world go by! Generally best to top it off with one of their really good desserts :)
