Stables Spa

Pictures on website always look better than the real thing– I have come to accept this. But on this occasion the word ‘distortion’ comes to mind.
I booked the Harte and Garter Hotel solely because they had a spa and the look of the spa. It looked amazing, very modern and big with everything there.
I tried phoning before our visit on a few occasions and left voicemail messages and finally received a message back. When I returned their call I again got the voicemail and felt I wasn’t getting anywhere. Eventually we booked in to use the thermal spa journey.
The spa is situated behind the hotel and you have to walk though an alleyway to get there which needs some serious cleaning attention, so don’t go out in your slippers!
The staff were polite and friendly and showed us round before leaving us to it. The changing rooms are small — possibly fit three people in there comfortably. The thermal journey was not what I expected — maybe my standards are too high or maybe theirs are too low but the steamroom wasn’t working (¹⁄₃ of the journey) and the drinking water was empty. The air coming out into the hot tub/​jacuzzi area was cold. It just didn’t feel very luxurious or relaxing. We had booked to stay here for 2 hours but 45 minutes was more than enough.

I have been a member of this spa for over two years and absolutely love it. They have some great therapists & lots of different treatments.
Although yes they are a little on the small side; they make up for it by being located in the heart of Windsor.
Make sure you book your treatments well in advance (atleast 2 – 3 weeks) as they can get booked up real fast.
Lovely place to go to relax & unwind — def highly recommended :-)
