irstly they don’t reply to emails within there claimed 72 hours following a complaint which I out line below When we arrived at the bowling alley in Worthing on the 30th January at 5 – 45 pm we had towait until 6 – 30 pm to get our lane(Lane 1), for our two games, during the first game we had multiple interruptions due to lane errors, such as split pins not re racking, pins in the gutter and then a shut down and power failure in the lane. We struggled on and completed the first game, during the second game the lane completely failed at this point it was 7 – 30 pm and we need to make our restaurant reservation. So I spoke to the manager in charge who apologized but only offered me vouchers for one game(I have the codes if you require them). I asked for my money back instead of vouchers but was told this was not company policy. To be honest this was a birthday party for my sister (we were all adults bar one 9 year old in the party), I don’t think this was acceptable, as both games were ruined and I would simply like a refund. I have bowled in Worthing(I was born and bought up there) many times and not had such problems before. I hope you can sort this out. I sent a message with this detail to you via the website as you can see from the above email on the 4th Feb. This is reply I had : — first of all would like to thank you for your feedback from your visit to our bowl on the 30th January. I have looked into your booking and it appears that you were bowling relatively quick considering we allocate 10minutes per person per game, so if you had 6 people for two games that would on average be 2 hours’ worth of bowling. So unfortunately you would have been late for your reservation anyway if you were booked in for 6pm. With regards to the faults you incurred, unfortunately my technicians or any team members weren’t made aware of any faults, which you said interrupted your game. I can understand the frustration you are in with regards to the machine turning off due to a power failure, this is why you were offered free game vouchers as a gesture of good will. I have spoken to the manager on shift who did the correct thing in offering you these free game vouchers which you accepted in good faith, as we don’t offer refunds due to our company policy. You can use these free game vouchers in any AMF/Hollywood bowl that is closest to you Pathetic! — I did not say when my restaurant booking was I only mentioned it was 7−30pm when I complained about the Lane, Simple answer do not bowl here any problems and its money down the drain — this cost me 56 pounds rubbish Visited January 2016

my not so very much younger brother bless him, weekly bowls 600+ league sessions, he likes it and says its good keep fit, me i never reached those heady heights but can manage the odd 200+ he takes it seriously, I prefer to go with friends, ideal for an adult evenings fun or conversely a family afternoon or early evening as the youngsters can use a ball slide and the side rails can get put up to avoid no balls. A reasonable birthday outing for the young teens. foods ok and reasonably priced, licensed bar, handy but as I drive, ones my lot, have to keep the kids off the electric amusements they can work out expensive. parking generally easy as the bowl is part of the multistorey car park I watch out for offers/vouchers, nothing like a little saving is there

I’ve been to this bowling alley several times for various events since I’ve lived in Worthing, staff night out, taking my teenagers out for a laugh, children’s parties etc. The bowling alley has a pub of the typical English variety serving drinks. There’s a fast food style area too, serving hamburgers, hotdogs, milkshakes and the like. Arcade games greet you as you come into the entrance. The air hockey has provided me with much competitive fun while waiting for an alley to become free. It’s very busy on the weekends so I suggest you ring up and book. If you just turn up you may have to wait. A good set price group deal which includes meal and game is also offered for children‘s parties.
