Pretty quick to implement the Government’s Hot Food Tax. We all know the Pasty Tax was scrapped but that didn’t apply to other hot food. So now, ALL hot food ie chickens, joints and others have had 20% tax placed on it. Naturally, ALL supermarkets have taken advantage of this and put on some extras. Sainsburys are not alone.
Example: 7 days agoMedium Hot chicken over the counter was £3−50p to £4−00p OR TWO for £7−00p
Now.£5−00 to £5−75p each and NO deals.
Still, we’re all in this together!!! hahaha

they are always changing the layout of the store which can get VERY confusing. the store is good apart from this. a bigger range of cereals then teh rustington branch. theres a fresh food counter with fish and meat (and cheese if memory serves) as well as cooked meats and roast chicken etc.
big range of baby products and has an in store pharmacy that is open until late (latest in teh area) as well so great if you’re ever in need of calpol for a teething baby at 9pm
