We were in York as part of tour. I used Unilocal and Trip Advisor to select an Italian Restaurant. Il Paradesio del Cibo does not have a web site, and only accepts cash. Open 6−10pm. It is hard to make reservations, which are really needed if you want to eat before 7:30pm. The restaurant is small. Not good for groups larger than 5 or 6. Seating with reservations was prompt. The waiters were very nice, but busy. My wife and I split the eggplant appetizer, the mixed green salad with basalmic and oil, the meat Cannelloni, and finally the Tiramisu. We each had a glass of Multipuciano wine, and I had a glass of Amaretto,(apparently not on the menu) for dessert. Total cost was ~£36.00 Everything was excellent. The service slow but waiters were animated and had character. Many guests spoke Italian to the staff. A group of young people sat next to us speaking fluent Italian. I asked them if they were local, and they all spoke English as well. They told me they were and that they go to Il Paradesio Del Cibo for the most authentic Italian food in York.
