If your looking for a wide selection f Italian food to choose from, then this is the place to go. They had so many options it was difficult to choose one. The service was quick and I had a very good lobster ravioli and split a good, inexpensive bottle of wine with some friends. Definitely a solid restaurant to try out in York if you are craving Italian.

Wow, this Italian sure impressed me and I’m a tough cookie when it comes to this sort of cuisine. Popping out for dinner we were going to find our normal comfort Japanese food. but something drew me here. The ambiance is warm with golden lighting, modern yet classical and romantic… After being guided to our table, free assorted bread and dips were placed in the middle. Opening the giant menu, revealed a diverse selection of Italian classics along with lobster fiesta dishes starting at £24.99. For starters I had the lobster bisque, while the other half chose a beef ravioli soup. I don’t know why I chose the lobster bisque because normally I dont like it. but the texture, colour and balance of flavour was spotless. The beef ravioli was innovative, each parcel contained meat or cheese which floated delicately upon a clear conseme. By this point I was strangely feeling full, considering it was late, and this was my first bit of victuals. so when my seafood risotto landed agape with dozens of clams and mussels I panicked. It was so divine in taste and presentation I didn’t want to insult the chef by not eating it. but I was so full! My partner had his steak raw, and it was so good .that he left the pepper corn sauce untouched. the side of fresh vegetables were also tasty looking. The night felt special, our waiter was fantastic, as he knew I was waiting on my partner most of the time so he kept using secret sign language to me. he also promised to make me the best liqueur coffee. he kept his promise. Overall a fantastic experience for an excellent price. Unlike most Italians main courses included the sides. and portions were wholesome… Please give this a try!

Quite unassuming from the outside this deceptively spacious, and slightly cliché in the décor(think Mediterranean sauna), restaurant offers an extensive and reasonably priced menu of typical Italian fare. House wine starts from around £16/17 a bottle(I don’t think I noticed an option for just a glass) and various lagers, spirits and softs. I went for the seafood linguine in a tomato sauce, and when presented with a platter sized dish I couldn’t have been happier. Clams, mussels, squid, lobster and prawns were scattered generously through the pasta, which was perfectly saucy. My mum was very happy with her chicken tomato bows and NO parmesan. So, aye, if you’re kicking around York give it a bash.

I throughly enjoyed my meal. Surprisingly the restaurant was not very crowded, though I had an early dinner for most. The waitstaff was very attentive to my needs, and the food was excellent.

Service was really good. Very attentive, refills were abundant. The food was not great however. Very plain crust and sauce for the pizza, it was cooked well but flavourless with the exception of the toppings. I got the spiciest pizza on the menu and it was not spicy at all. They had no Chili flakes to add heat either. The calzone had the same flavourless base.
