A very nice shop, easily noticeable as it’s in the centre of town.
The shop has lots of gifts for cat lovers such as ornaments, books, calendars and jewellery. You can also go in-​store and get a free magazine of all the products that they sell, and you can order online.
The Cat Gallery also features at Cat Trail, which is a trail of Cats on the walls of buildings around York. This can give you an insight of what there is in York. It’s also FREE! to do this. It is very fun to do, as I’ve previously done a bit of the trail before, and I can say it’s well worth the time.

I have purchased a necklace in August 2013 while visiting York. I brought it back to Germany to give it to a friend as a gift. When I helped her putting it on I realised that the clasp wasn’t working correctly but didn’t give it a second thought. And of course my friend lost it.
I then wrote to The Cat Gallery and explained what happened. They were very friendly and I immediately got a parcel with a new necklace inside and didn’t have to pay a penny. Thank you very much!
The Cat Gallery itself is a beautiful store full of items of cats. You can tell that somebody who loves cats must own it. I found their website on the internet and they even send their items to foreign countries. I will definately get some other things.

i recently visited York and did the cat trail, where you follow a map and find 21 cats that appear on buildings around York, its FREE 2 do and can download the map or pick one up in store, its a great way to see York and fun to try and find the cat sculptures. i didnt do it in the right order and ended up at the shop quite late and the lady had just closed, but after she saw me trying the door and i said i was only in York for the day she let me in, which i thought was very nice you wouldnt get that in many places, i will make sure on my next visit that i get there earlier so i can have a good look around at all the cat delights.
