PLEASEREPLACEYOURCHAIRSBEFORESOMEONEISSERIOUSLYHURT! My mum is covered in bruises and has a bump on her head after the chair she sat on in Uncle Joe’s Diner collasped under her. The chair leg had buckled and was bent. All the chairs were the same design and were very light, flimsy and unstable. A man sat behind us said it was the 3rd time he had seen this happen! The staff were polite and apologetic and didn’t charge us for our food and drink. This was before I found the slug crawling out of my lettuce! I can forgive the slug but please replace your dangerous chairs before someone is more seriously hurt!

Love this place we go at least twice a week. Sometimes can be on the slow side but we would rather wait and know it is all freshly cooked to order than have Food that has been sat keeping warm. We recommend the ribs which are huge and also love the pizzas which are thin proper Italian style– the steaks are good value too ! Points to work on please can we have CREAMSODA guys and more fish on the menu :-) thanks !

My wife and I travel on the A64 quite a lot and we were delighted to see that a new café had taken over from the terrible Little Chef. We decided to have a breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the nice surroundings and the menu and service but what a disappointment! I had scrambled eggs and bacon. It was served on a small teaplate, one slice of toast and the toast was just about warmed bread and scrambled eggs were rubbery. We shan’t be going back in a hurry. Need to get their act together if they are going to be a success. I’d rahter go to the Designer Centre.

This is a newly opened independent eatery. Themed American Diner in what was a Little Chef. the food was flavoursome and well cooked. It is different to most of the places available along the A64 corridor and well worth stopping off, whether for Breakfast. Dinner or Evening meal. It has a large car park which is easy to park in and the restaurant is on a single level, so is manageable in a wheelchair also.
