I don’t know if my expectations of a sandwich shop is high, but I like to think I am fair. I feel a good sandwich is determined by choice of bread, quality of meat, flavour and construction. The bread is a plain white bun, which isn’t much of an issue in and of itself, but there was little to no flavour elsewhere, making it just a delivery system. Although the quality of meat was good, the main flavour came from the dressing they put with it — which was lumped in the middle of the sandwich. My main issue is that the dressing and sauce was not equally spread out throughout the sandwich, leaving half of the experience bland. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

It’s good, but it smells better than it tastes. They have nothing on Oink in Edinburgh, which I had the pleasure of devouring just a few days before eating here.

Every time I walk by, it smells delicious and there is always a line! I stopped in and the menu is simple: your choice of meat(pork, lamb, turkey, beef, ham), your choice of sauces(mint sauce, applesauce, stuffing, mustard, gravy, etc.), and if you want a side, you can choose from roast potatoes or a Yorkshire Pudding. It is a bit pricey, but I got a roast pork sandwich with a bit of applesauce and the sandwich was much larger than I anticipated, so I felt like I got my money’s worth. The pork had a bit of fat on it, but the rest of it was tender and juicy, in fact I think I could’ve had the sandwich without the applesauce afterall. The roll was soft and soaked up all the juices from the meat. There is no place to sit in, so you’ll just have to take your sandwich for a picnic.
