Friendly and helpful staff, room is spacious, air conditioner a little loud, and street noise unavoidable. Overall, a good experience staying here, close to many boutique shops and convenient shopping.

Wonderful experience. Bright, fresh, modern, hotel with large rooms, friendly staff, and great location. The rooftop pool and gym is also fabulous! I will definitely stay here again.

I was really impressed by the quality of all our hotels, and Aspen Square was definitely a highlight of our trip. For the price of a no-frills roadside motel back home, we got a spacious, modern hotel room, a pool and rooftop deck, attentive service, and a great breakfast buffet that puts our«continental breakfasts» to shame! Aspen Square is in Palermo Viejo, which is a nice, upscale, somewhat pricey neighborhood with a mix of restaurants, bars, and boutiques. The hotel isn’t very visible from the street — just a ramp and glass doors — but if you see the Veikko ice cream shop, you’re in the right place!(Also, go to Veikko. Their chocolate ice cream is outstanding and you can pick up a cute, free Palermo Viejo map of artsy stores.) It’s very close to the Plaza Italia Subte station, just a couple of blocks, which is convenient for getting around the city. Inside, you’ll see a spacious lobby, and beyond that is the large breakfast room. They take breakfast seriously in Argentina, and the buffet includes salami and ham, cheese, pastries and toast, cookies or cakes, yogurt, several kinds of cereal, whole fruit and fruit salad, coffee, tea, and juice. And, of course, lots of dulce de leche! Breakfast goes until 10:30, and it’s a good spread that will keep you going until lunchtime, so don’t skip it. Our room was on the fourth floor near the elevator. We got the most basic room type, but it was fairly large and spacious, with a table and chairs, a desk area, and a small fridge and minibar. The balcony looks much larger than it is; most of the space below your window is open, and only a tiny square is actually balcony that you can stand on. We didn’t bother with it and spent our time on the 8th floor roof deck instead. We had no trouble with noise, either through the walls or from the street. The king bed was huge, comfortable, and came with a couple of different kinds of pillows. The bad: our A/C pooped out after the first day or so and was pretty weak about cooling the room. We asked maintenance to look at it, but it didn’t fully solve the issue, and the wall unit dripped a pool of water onto the floor in the middle of the room pretty consistently. Wifi is free, but very weak in our room — it was strongest near the door, so we ended up leaning against the front door to get one more precious bar. Surprisingly, wifi was much better up on the roof, so again, we ended up hanging out up there or in the lobby(there are also shared computers and a printer in the lobby). Service was excellent and made us feel unusually fancy. I’m not used to having a doorman leap in front of me so that I don’t soil my dainty hands with the labor of opening a door myself! There was always someone at the front desk, and everyone spoke very good English. They were happy to recommend restaurants and services to us when we asked, and were very responsive to our requests. Overall, a very pleasant, modern, and stylish place to stay during our time in Buenos Aires! Recommended if you’re looking in Palermo and you want a subway-convenient, quiet hotel.
