Amerian Executive Mendoza Hotel

Great location and views, hotel overall was upscale and the free breakfast was standard but good. Would recommend overall.
But there were a couple of cons: 1) front desk wasn’t that helpful with excursions and 2) a different front desk receptionist stuck me with a suspicious telephone bill saying I was on the phone for about 6 straight days, when in reality I wasn’t even at the hotel for more than 36 hours. While it seems to have been cleared up, the receptionist insisted a bit too much I pay it, and took up too much of my time. Regarding the excursions, granted I asked the day before which was last minute, but the Hyatt had no problem setting something up for us within 5 minutes on the same day (a Sunday, to boot).
Also, somewhat negative, the bathrooms are a bit weird. The bathroom door knobs were not properly screwed in and were wobbly, and the hinge is on top of the door instead of the inner side. The first night one of us actually got stuck inside until the other helped from outside. And the design of the shower is poor because it only covers half the stream and lets a lot of water shoot out onto the floor. Definitely dangerous if you’re not careful.

Fancy upscale hotel with an old school feel. Centrally located which is the main perk, as well as being of excellent value. Good wifi and free breakfast. Only con was that the front desk was not very helpful in terms of excursions or wine tasting; definitely necessary to research things yourself beforehand. Besides that, our stay was perfect, and I would come back again. Mucho vino!
