The building and fixtures are old, dull, and lackluster, but the staff is first class. They are friendly, listen to your needs and are talented. The location is great and they are good to accommodate your schedule. The prices aren’t cheap but then i don’t mimd the cost for excellent care and service. Im here for an extended stay and have become a regular there now. I have had blow outs color and cuts. Ive used both Jacey and Anna Elise. Best part i always leave looking better than when i arrived!!! Now that’s Success!!!

Although a little pricier than other places the quality of the cut that you get and the absolute kindness that you get from the hairdressers and also the management/owners is second to none in my opinion.

I have just been here once, and only to get my hair washed and blow dried but they did a fantastic job. My hair looked great after a simple hair straighten and blow dry. The décor is a little old, but that doesn’t really bother me. It’s located on Rundle Mall, and so a very easy stop if time is on the essence and you want to make yourself look pretty. The staff, and owners for that matter, really do a proper job of looking after their customers…

I come here mostly to buy shampoo and conditioner. I used to buy hair treatments like Kerastase, Morrocan Oil and Redken, but found cheaper options elsewhere. For shampoo though, I found this place to have lower prices and a more extensive range of brands. As soon as you walk in, the staff will come out from behind the counter to greet you and ask if they can assist you in any way. This always happens without fail, no matter who is in charge on that day, so I find the service really good. I also got my ears pierced here once upon a time before Hairhouse Warehouse opened, and they were really good about because I’m such a sook. Apparently, the hair cuts here are good but a little expensive, especially for mens cuts — $ 32 — when you can get them for around $ 20 and just as good elsewhere. Although I have never had my hair cut here myself, most of the times I’ve been in there were mostly suits and older people getting their haircut, so I imagine perhaps Cross Cut has a straight, professional style in their cutting. Anyway, they are located across from David Jones in the mall, so they’re really easy to find. The range of shampoo and conditioner here has to be my favourite thing about this store.
