Had a great evening at here attending the whisky appreciation night. A fine selection of whisky’s pared with well rounded food. The décor is comfortable and stylish. The event was in my mind a good over all Experience and value for money.

Trendy yet not hipster! Cavalier is situated along the Gold Coast highway in Burleigh Heads. A two story establishment that serves up some great cocktails and higher end takes on some classic Italian dishes. The ground level is a great rustic bar with high top seating. Lounge seating is also provided for parties more than three. However the seating isn’t really the most comfortable. Basically a drink before and or after dinner. Upstairs you have a 35 seat cozy intimate seating arrangement that seemed to accommodated up to around 6 – 8 per table. Another full bar and wine list is offered, but just be warned that the wine list is on the higher end. Our table ordered some breads, oils and olives to kick start our night. Personally I had ordered the Lamb & Red wine Ragu, Pappardelle and Grana Padano pasta. Highly recommend this dish. Plenty of flavor and a interesting take that I would come back for. Our party all enjoyed the dishes from here, and infect probably wanted more. Being Italian rich foods, the portion sizes were appropriate. Overall Food: 5 – 5 Drink: 5 – 5(cocktails and wine list were exceptional) Service: 5 – 5(wait staff were knowledgable and personable) Coming back: Yes

A little slice of Melbourne in beachy, Burleigh Heads. Cavalier is the perfect place to come with friends if you’re looking for delicious, craft cocktails and some tapas. The décor is superb– leather ottomans, dark wood, chandeliers, need I say more? Cavalier is superb but is a little on the pricey side however, well worth the extra spend. If you like whiskey ask the bar tender about your options, they will not disappoint.

We popped in for a quick drink after a long, lazy dinner at Fish House over the road. We were able to snag prime position on a comfy leather lounge, from which we could see passing pedestrians and reach the bar. Interesting brews and cocktails are on offer, and the bar has low lighting and a plush, dark wood décor. Two things, the bar closes at midnight(even on a Saturday!) and the toilets are down the shared arcade with Justin Lane pizzeria
