Good and filling platter. After reading a review below I shared a shish d’or plate with my friend and it was enough for the both of us. The meat was tasty and the tabouli fresh, with enough bread and dip to accompany. At a midrange price, café d’or was better value than the $ 22 burgers across the road.

Great dinner option in Burwood Road. We wanted a place that wasn’t too casual, and this fit the bill. We ordered several dishes to share — I’ve forgotten the exact names, but you can check out the photos I’ve posted along with this review. :P Service was nice and friendly.

The had an amazing meal here, the food came in large portions and was cooked nicely. We ordered the sish d’or and a Lebanese salad and that was enough to feed two.

The food here is always delicious. The service varies. The chicken skewers are so tasty, along with the variety of dips, you won’t want dessert. A bit pricey but this food is obviously not a rush job, so for a special treat or if you have deep pockets, I highly recommend it.

Walking up and down Burwood trying to figure out what to have for lunch you get bombarded with what seems like 100s of Chinese restaurants, but to choose between them is tough. I nearly went for a Thai noodle place, simply because it wasn’t the norm… at which point I saw Café D’or. Lebanese food done well is simply brilliant! For my lunch I chose the lamb shawarma grilled with onions, capsicum and mushrooms, served on a bed of rice and a side of fatoush(pic — ). While I would have loved more shawarma in my serving… my plate was clean by the end of lunch. I only wish I didn’t have to run off so I could have had some desert as well. This place was great, and if you are ever looking for something to munch on(even if you have a big group) you should certainly think about including this place in your list.

Café D’or offers a multicultural array of Lebanese, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, as well as takeaway and catering services. The menu is authentic, and the dishes are fresh and tasty. The fully licensed venue(BYO for wine only) also serves up a range of gluten free, halal and vegan dishes for those with special dietary requirements. Meals are perfect for sharing, so if you’re looking for a restaurant that will cater for large groups, this is it. Prices are a little expensive, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Some of my favourite dishes include the chicken skewers, Shish Deluxe, coriander potatoes, mixed plate and rice pudding. Service is friendly and attentive, and the Saturday night belly dancer is pretty impressive too. Make sure you arrive by 8pm or you’ll miss the show.
