Sidnees is a weird place. I’m not really a fan. In my opinion, it should be left to the young attention seekers, a teenage playground of sleaze and posing.
Against my strong objections, I was recently bullied into having dinner with a group of friends at Sidnees. After years of experience, I warned them it wouldn’t be a good experience. And unfortunately, it wasn’t.
We sat down at around 6pm on a Friday night. It was busy, as always, and took almost fifteen minutes for someone to even notice our presence. When we were finally spotted, the service was hurried, disinterested, and a little rude. The distracted waiter somehow managed to get a fairly simple order completely wrong. Some requested items were ignored, and two dishes were forgotten completely.
The food took an hour to arrive, and the drinks even longer. We tried in vain to make eye contact with the darting waiters, and finally had to physically nudge one as they stormed past, self-​importantly.
Will never (I mean it this time) be back.
