Criniti’s Carlton

First off, the bangers breakfast was delicious. Would recommend.

My girlfriend’s food (nutella pancakes) came out in about 10 minutes, and my breakfast didn’t come out for about 35 – 40 minutes. Had to bring this up with the wait staff, and from their reaction it seemed like the order didn’t go through at all. In their defence though, once we mentioned the food hadn’t come out, it did come out quite promptly.
Speaking of nutella pancakes, usually they have some nutella. None was found here, nor was there any of the vanilla ice cream mentioned on the menu. Mentioned this, the staff asked «would you like us to make it again?». We said yes, but all they did was plop some ice-​cream on the plate of partially eaten pancakes and brought it back out.
Coffee was okay & my girlfriend had an iced coffee which was nice, but the water… well… $ 9 for tap water?
Unfortunately didn’t notice this on the bill until it was already paid. Pretty outrageous, $ 9 for tap water (listed as «still water» on the bill but came out in an unlabelled, already opened bottle)
As good as the bangers breakfast was, it’s very unlikely we’d ever go here again.

The portion is HUGE. The size of the salad is probably for 2, I can only eat half of everything here. And I am not the only one. The waiter is very attentive to our need but should have been more discerning in recommending the right choice when I asked for something like.

Empty seats. Enough staff. Waited 10 min. Walked out. If that’s «normal» then they will be closed by Christmas 2017. This isn’t Sydney.

This restaurant provides great Italian food. I had the puttanesca, my wife ate the pasta de vongole, one son had the pizza and the other son ate the kids penne with meatball. I’d give 4 ½ stars. The mussels were sandy and the meatball was soft. Otherwise, a great meal, good wait staff and youthful music. The ambiance is modern Italian with an Australian twist.

I’ve tried the Sydney (Darling Harbour) restaurant and now my hometown restaurant in Carlton. Fantastic food and even better service.

Great place for lunch, enjoy the ambience, food and service without the crowds. Tasty, lots of choices and definitely worth a visit. Coffee was good too.

Criniti’s was a great choice for dinner with workmates. We ordered a banquet option and were all so impressed with the quantity and quality of food. The amazing pizza was a particular highlight. They also had an extensive drinks menu which included great ciders. My only (very minor) critique of the place is that the background music was sometimes a bit loud.

If you come here, be prepared for a long read. Extensive menu that just has to be able to satisfy any palate or dietary requirements. Friendly staff although not too familiar with the menu. Can buy pizza by the metre! Food is lovely and well priced. Great offerings of gelato — loved the revolving cabinet — as well as cakes. Place was busy for a Monday night but good levels of service. Would recommend and would dine here again.

Love, love, love this place! Work near here so come in all the time whether it be for take away coffee, their delicious pastries eg: cronuts, bombolini or cannoli — yum! Their panini’s which I sometimes get for lunch are amazing and a decent size too. Have come in several times for dinner, their menu is so extensive that it’s so hard to choose what to eat!!! Everything so far has been perfect, but especially lovin the wood fired pizzas. There’s much more on the menu I want to try so will definitely be back for more!!!
By the way, their desserts and cocktails aren’t bad either
