As far a local bottle shops go, Cellarbrations seems to a tried and true pit stop when you’re in need of a tipple or two. It’s nothing fancy for sure, but I like how Cellarbrations makes the decision making process a little easier. It is SUCH a burden to bare when you’re left with providing the alcohol for a dinner(1st world problems!). Luckily, Cellarbrations understands that sometimes you don’t have time to toss up the pros and cons of clean skins versus a nice South Australian GSM, so they chuck up these signs announcing all their specials and hey presto! You suddenly have 2 bottles of Vasse Felix and appear a lot more organized than you really are. They also claim to have the world’s best Cabernet Merlot, but when I asked the young gentleman at the counter which one it was he wasn’t sure. I’m quite a fan of their sale bins and the last time I was there they had wine for $ 6. It’s hardly the crème de la crème of bottle shops but I’m hardly one to argue with such a bargain. It’s a great little shop if you’re on a budget and can’t tell your cab sav from a cab merlot, but I’ve definitely had better.
