Been eating here for almost a year. Pizzas are amazing, the toppings are really good quality and I just love the dough used. I have also had the ‘green machine’ salad many times and it really tastes like a gourmet salad made at a top restuarant! The staff are sincerley caring when we call about any issue or delay and they always go out of their way to make it up to us. One of the few places that the actual owner calls you personally to apologise and rectify any issues. Last week they forgot our can of drink so the owner personally came straight away with four cans and to apologize personally. Thats service. Thanks Shawcross!

Pepperoni heavens and PBR’s overall a great combo. We got the normal sizes. This is enough for 2 ppl. Base is so good, reminds of NY slices

On the hunt for great pizza in the area, only had delivery to date, consistently tasty, sometimes a little cold. Flavours are good and they are consistent in quality

I’m pretty tough on pizzas and my favourite pizza is Grimaldi’s under the Brooklyn bridge in New York. I’m all about the traditional Margherita and not drawn by all the fancy thing places will put on pizzas. Pizzas are tough to find, at least good ones are… This place did make me happy though. It didn’t blow my mind but it did a pretty good job impressing me taste wise. Now hey have this«huge» 22 inch pizza you can order for $ 50 – 55 and I know you don’t get your money’s worth(I did the math per square inch) sadly you pay a little for the gimmick but I definitely recommend going in for one of their regular sized pizzas. They have a range that will please most. Ps they have delivery for the surrounding neighbourhood.

As a New Yorker, I found this pizza to be decent, but not the absolute best. Compared to other Aus pizza joints, this is probably at the top of the list. But man, I am missing NY pizza! I had the Mexicutioner, which was very delicious and moderately spicy. A small(12″) is small enough for one person to eat plus take away a few slices. It’s not quite big enough to share. Others at the table had the Bigger Than Texas, Fancy Pants and Fat Tony. Everyone seemed to be pleased with those choices as well.

I was super excited to try Shawcross Pizza after all the reviews and photos I found on Unilocal.I even waited out my 3pm hunger until 6:15pm when they were open for delivery(go away judgement-face, I’ll leave my house when I feel like it). So was it worth it? Ummmmmmmm. I guess it was okay. But I wouldn’t wait 3 hungry hours for it again. The nachos were pretty burnt. I wasn’t very happy about that. The pizza looked nothing like the pictures posted here. The pepperoni was scarce, the base was soggy and it felt a bit like I was eating a ‘home version’ of a food you’d much rather order at the restaurant. I’d also update the $ rating to $$ or $$$ as it was $ 40 for 2×12″ pizzas or $ 55 for a 22″.

This is not a first in Melbourne. the original NYPD,(New York Pizza Deli) was set up some time ago in Fitzroy street St Kilda. Still, it’s one that I’m glad came back. You Can’t say no to 22 inch pizza’s. Even better its done by the slice, so if you’re in the mood for a qaulity tasty snack you’re well served. Unlike those attempts at pizza you get at the souvlaki places, that are usually stolid and not really pizza. Shawcross is a place for the better kind of Slice. Yes they are big slices to go with my big appetite. 3 slices is my record so far, but that’s only because I’ve been there once. the day I chose to arrive i was super fatigued and could barely order anything let alone pay fine attention to the details. Cool art work on the walls though. I think it was it black and white? Tasty and good variety available. Need to go back…

Sorry guys but I’m not enthusiastic about this place. 7.30 on a Sunday night, it’s not busy, and the slices are tired looking. The food didn’t seem fresh, one slice was salty, the other doughy and cold. There are definitely better pizzas in Melbourne, DOC, Baby, Firechief all runs rings around this place. On the positive side, they serve Brooklyn Lager, and it’s a pretty cheap and easy meal. If you have no other option give it a go…

When I spend $ 32 on two delivered meat pizzas, I expect more than $ 2 worth of meat. The crust was pretty good, but the skimpy toppings are insane. I can only hope they ran out of toppings the night I ordered, because otherwise they are just ripping people off. The meatball pizza had three slices with literally no meat at all — and after we redistributed, each slice had an average of about half a teaspoon of meat. The Notorious PIG pizza was only marginally better. Will not order from here again, I like meat too much.

In a world where every pizza is of the same size, the same look, the same taste. The world looks like a dark place. Good thing at Shawcross is they are serving pizza’s with a HUGE difference. The size(HUGE), the ingredients(Fresh) and the offerings(WIDERANGE) and also a really good customer service is something that will always make you feel welcomed. So when the world is dark we know that Shawcross dares to be different, fun with a fantastic customer service.

This place is fun. If you want to pull up a chair at an absolutely no-fuss pizza shop for a beer and a slice, this is your stop. The slices are HUGE! 22″ pizzas are made up for slice purchasing, or you can buy a regular 12″ pizza. Actually, you can take on an entire 22″ to yourself if you’re really game — they’ll give you a t-shirt if you can finish it. A slab of beer on top if you finish it the fastest. The waitresses will indulge you with stories of those who have tried and failed if you ask. Anyway, chances are you will be going for one slice and a salad. At $ 10, that is damn good value and the side salad means it gets the girlfriend tick of approval. The slices aren’t quite the same as what is on the full pizza menu, but they are tasty. If you do get a full pizza, the options improve and I must say, the super-fresh melty cheese on the personal pizzas are probably worth forgoing the NY slice experience if you have more than one mouth to feed. Or you could do as I did, order a slice and then steal some of your boyfriend’s pizza to get the best of both worlds. Win.

YUMMO! Awesome pizza served regular or humungous! With a variety of salads and sides, this pizza joint is getting busy like WOAH! One of my favorite pizza joints in Melbourne, definitely worth a slice or two. But you must try the nachos. Seriously After a sweaty yoga session, I met a couple friends and I headed over due to some«elite» recommendations of the place. Here’s what we ordered: Fat Tony — a.ka. Margherita pizza. A standard by any pizza place. Broseppi — Salami, mushrooms, and more types of meat. Easter bunny special — pulled rabbit, peas, chevre, and(barely any) red potatoes. Nachos — spicy guacamole, mild salsa, black beans… overall goodness. Trader Joe — rice/quinoa salad with roast pumpkin, black beans, peas, and mint. Everything was amazing, with my personal recommendation for the Broseppi, with prices usually around $ 14 – 16.00. The salami was thick cut and heavily sprinkled with oregano, bringing out the creaminess in the cheese. The easter special was amazing with the chevre, but the cheese was a bit sparse and the rabbit was a bit too dry. The Fat Tony was great, and brought out the flouriness of the dough, which I happily gobbled. They serve a variety of bottled beer and wine. The wine glass servings were a bit small, but I highly recommend grabbing a bottle of Moon Dog, a local brew that’s 7.8%, almost 2 standard drinks per bottle. And it goes down way too smoothly. At $ 8.50 a bottle, you’ll probably control yourself. The nachos were a great surprise, and they’re the best I’ve had in Melbourne. The guacamole was fantastic, and merged perfectly with the salsa, sour cream, and black beans. The tortilla chips held up well to all the conidments, never getting too soggy. I asked the cooks and waitress to put more cheese on next time, and hopefully in the future every order will be as gooey as the pizzas. Definitely on my «Melbourne’s Best Pizza» list. Highly recommended.

Look, I wanted to come here because I had heard about the giant pizza slices and I had dreamed about holding a slice that was bigger than my head and trying to eat it gracefully while still trying to look hip and cool. But my friends railroaded me and we ended up with regular pizzas and big salads. I don’t want to imply that the pizzas at Shawcross are boring and«regular»(they’re anything but, and have awesome stuff like dukkah and yoghurt and other interesting ingredient thrown on!), I really just had my heart set on a giant slice and so I left a little heartbroken. The real surprise of the night were the salads — super fresh, generous and tasty and absolutely a must if you visit. Don’t worry, you can be sure I’ll post pictures on every social media platform going once I get my giant slice.

There was a pizza named«ridgey-didge» and it had peas. Does it get better than that? Well. It would have had they actually also let me pay in the USD I had on me.
